Straight out of Norway, Altaar, takes us with "Dødsønske" (which means "Death Wish") through a journey between cold, dark and obscured ancient catacombs. Their sound can be described as a thick wall of a mixture between dark ambient, drone, doom with some hints of Black Metal. This is one of my favorite releases ever. This is just my sort of thing. This was one of the first posts here on FxC and since i got a high quality release, i decide to replace it by the other cassette rip. This way you can hear every noise popping out from every dark crack correctly. Although "Dødsønske" is remarkably awesome to let Altaar fall in the pit of Oblivion, these guys have got to release something new soon, really. Highly Recommended.
