RIP Mediafire

Well.. i knew sooner or later this was about to happen.

My Mediafire account has been suspended which means that albums here posted FxC are dead. I guess someone not happy with the fact to see some files posted here maybe reported it to Mediafire and as consequence of that, all files are now suspended. Maybe I'm just speculating and they just erased my Account.

But just because they won a battle it doesn't mean that the War is over. No sir..

My aim here is to post good music, new artists on the scene, i always try to put a link where you can buy a physical copy of it and to those that don't have the means to buy it, at least make music affordable to them.. in all corners of the World.

Upload the old stuff?? I dunno yet.. meanwhile i'm pretty sure you guys know how to use Google right? Don't make me use this.

Meanwhile i will have to change to a different Filehost.. i'm thinking of Zippyshare.

What do you guys think?

  1. I find freakshare works pretty well and consistently. Either way, thanks for your hard work and dedication, your shares are much appreciated.

  2. My assessment would be the following.. Mediafire is still out and out one of the best hosts out there. Surely if you used it without an account (ie. uploading anonymously) it is impossible to conceive such obscure music getting enough hits to draw any significant attention to it. Not to mention it would not result in all the other uploads being deleted as they aren't all linked to an account.

Or am I wrong on those counts? Thanks anyway!

    1. Dear anonymous, and can you tell me how you can upload files on Mediafire anonimously? I can create a fake account, it's true. But the result would eventually be the same, they would delete it anyway. Today's Mediafire demands a login in order to upload files. The good news is that there are a hundred more filehosts out there. Just have to find the right one in order to please everybody.

      Thanks.

    2. Oh, sadly you're right that it's no longer possible to upload without an account. This must of changed in the last few months while I've not happened to use the service. My apologies.

As for hosts.. while Rapidshare limits download speed, you can upload anonymously (thus sparing all links going down, for example) and will keep popular posts on it's own. But nevermind!

      ps. Obrigado a voce!

  4. I find it amusing Lord Mantis would be reporting you. I should report them for making more generic blackened sludge.

    2. You know, they're mates from Nachtmystium, they don't like people putting links for their albums on the internet, since that way they won't receive money to spend on cocaine and stuff.

      Nice blog btw.

  5. I was typing quite some tekst but accidentally deleted it. I don't know if you're still interested in it, but my conclusion is that it's likely to be the safest to use a non-American filehoster(nor a filehoster with an American top-level domain) and the safest will be an Russian filehoster like Ifolder.ru, http://файлообменник.рф/ (there will be more, but I only know those two) (Mind that these sites are gonna give a bit of hassle in the begining)

Anyway, Russian or not, I wouldn't suggest Zippyshare because I've got the feeling it's on its way to get attentioned by the 'big copyright companies'.

  6. zippyshare or jumbofiles is the best right now.both fast and they allow multiple downloads without waiting.

  8. Fuckin sucks man. Happened to a few other blogs as well. I'm sure Equivoke is next but for now we're safe. Zippyshare works pretty well as others have said, I'll look out for other alternatives and let you know.

  11. It's now official, every blog I frequent has been hit by the great media-fire of '11-12. Glad to see you plan on sticking to your guns, because I couldn't fault anyone for being so disheartened that they just quit.

Really appreciate the work you do here, friend.

  13. At least your spirit is alive dude. i thought it only would be a matter of time until mediafire dicked you out. happens to all of them nowadays (even to blogs such as stonerobixx, sadly). i'm glad you're continuing. with or without downloads, your recommendations are always lovely.

zippyshare seems acceptable at the moment (and has always been to this moment) but i wouldn't rely on them for the future as they might do the same shit when they get more uploaders. but there aren't any forward-looking alternatives right now so it might be just the best for now.

    cheers to you!

  14. ifolder.ru for sure. it's a pain in the ass to navigate, and it's in russian so you get extra kvlt points.

  16. i can still upload to mediafire without logging in:) i bookmarked my "my files" page sometime back, so all i have to do is click my bookmark and it takes me there with the ability to upload and everything. i've never once made an account with them. this makes me think that there is not a NEED to create an account, you just have to figure out how to get to your "my files" page, or something. this probably doesn't help much, but i just wanted to throw that out there.

  18. Peejesharedotcom?

Only just found it, not really sure about it, but seemed similar to media fire with super speed and multiple dls. Otherwise, I have no idea about reliability etc
